Acid Acid Acid

Acid

Acid Acid Acid

ACIDACIDACIDACIDACIDACIDACIDACID

Get over it love, it was 20 years ago. At the time there was
a DIY aesthetic, much like punk, an "Anyone can do it"
ethos. People with little money, buying "Drum machines"
instead of hiring a drummer, cheap synths instead of an
orchestra. What they wrought out of those machines became
the legends of techno and Acid, house, whatever. Necessity
was the mother of invention.

Now it's "tee hee, I made acid, check my new 1463 tracks on
myspace, including "Acid (acid)". You've missed the boat
love, no one cares apart from some other amatuer musicians
with a misplaced fetish for machines. Now fuck off.

you have to admit the madness should have ended right after
Phuture's Acid Trax was made. everything after was nothing
but a footnote of a tiny paragraph of music history

Truth. This acid revival thing is a complete dead end, I beg
all of the people who have jumped on Ceephax's penis to
start writing some music with meaning rather than rehashing
this tired old shit. The bedroom aesthetic is dying on it's
arse and needs some innovation!

No, it's terrible that you don't get it. And you know what?
For a minute there, I thought your status said "Fucker". Not
that it matters, though. What matters is we're both noobs,
so we should stick together. Especially in this hell-hole. I
mean, look at those avatars for crying out loud! They're
like little metaphors representing their penisses. Or was it
the other way around? Anyways, lets shake hands.

tire of the sound of a piano or guitar.

isn't it more that acid music is just good, and people like
listening to it and making it?

I don't care really, I'm just voicing an unasked for
opinion, because I can.

I worked out what winds me up about this machine fetish,
it's like someone who can't play the guitar properly making
a big fuss about having the right guitar, and the right
strings so it sounds "lush".. and then just fucking plucking
the top string E E E E E E E E E as if, the very virtue of
the sound was enough.

Agreed. If only all future acid riffs would use 'Klop Job'
as the quality benchmark.
