On the subject of remixing: There's a really good book on the subject. I'm damned if I can remember the title/authors, but it included lots of quotes from Aphex and Autechre and it was clear the author was a bit of an IDM fan (although he made the schoolboy error of refering to RDJ as "one of the guys from Aphex Twin" or something similar). It came with a CD of demos of software, VSTis, etc. and was pretty good overall. I borrowed it from my university's library years back. |
