hi!
anyone here ever made a live performance with his music? it just popped to my mind. what kind of equipment would be useful for a live persormance?
i think, just pressing "play" on the computer would be a bit boring ;)

nah, i'd just hit play, but make it look like i was actually doing stuff. i use hardware anyway, so i can't really just press play.

i use fruityloops3.4 live, with a 12 knob midi controller to twek soft synths, and two outboard hardware synths running using midi.
this is all mixed through my mixing desk, with realtime outboard fx added during the mix.
every second song is played striaght off a cd, through the mixing desk, while i set fruity up for the next trak-get all the knobs and fx presets set to go.

You could get a chaos pad. its a tweeker machine!
connect a microphone, with the computer to a program that pitches up your voice and distorts it, and scream funky shit.
get a keyboard, and slam it.
hook up some pans and drumms and stand in naked torso and slam away.
at once.

If you make ambient music, its okay to stand and look stony.
but if your music is filled with energi, you yourself has to represent it. you must draw the audince into it. let the music play and dance and scream and slam.

hmyeah.. but for me, it feels like "pretending" the audience, when i look like i am busy as hell, but the music is actually only playing, and would play without me on the stage.
but that's okay, i will get used to it ;)
maybe i will get some pitchable cd players.
