The only good thing about verizon where i live is their coverage area. thats it, i'm surprised someone hasn't taken them to court for disabling the majority if not all features built into their phones so you have to use their services to move content to and from the phone or hack the phone to gain back those advantages of actually having X phone.
it seems like every other network around allows you to do this. its not a major problem for me, but i'm not paying $2 for some cheezy ringtone i might get sick of after 3 calls, not to mention the 'data' call i need to make to get it which i'm sure would be like 5 bucks on top of that. greedy fucks

I have verizon, but i have never tried to have a ringtone before, I wouldn't even know how to do it to be honest.

use music17.com to send MP3's as "image" files and then use them as your ringtones. it worked for me and my enV (xv9900).
