Definitely a genre I miss

People still make ''homebrews'' and indie stuff, like the 5
Days a Stranger/7 Day a Skeptic series. They're OK but I
prefer the more visually stimulating things. And I used to
love the NES takes on this genre, Uninvited/Deja
Vu/Shadowgate/Maniac Mansion/etc. There was even an OK
King's Quest translation.

Was that you? Greeeeeat site, I think I downloaded like
every game there, which was very time consuming... and then
I found a torrent elsewhere with like every DOS game ever.
That's life on the internets.

Nah I must have got it way before that 2005 post, this was a
while ago. I think I must have got it from Elusive.

It's brilliant. The little directory with music is worth it
all.

I was seriously touched when i heard the theme from monkey
island again.

i noticed they reproduced Sam n Max adventure, but this time
in 3d. You can pay for them here wooh

but i suggest waiting for 6 episodes before buying, cause
you'll save some money.

I just found this when I was looking for Kings
quest games. All dos games, but a LOT of them.

I havn't played any such games in forever (command and
conquer.. if that even qualifies as 90s etc) since I'm too
dumb to get old dos stuff to play on modern computers. I
oughta just buy an old computer... though that would mean a
whole extra room-take-up-inating-ing computere aoijgt eoaig
joad gadeoiakskdesk

hmm... all that googling for it and downloading it , man
just too much work. Not to mention installing it.. ugh I'd
probably have to read something too, I hatr reading. It
probably won't install correctly anyway. My laptop is a fag.
No, I think I'll just write 15 messages on xltronic instead
of investigating that, and I'll do the same thing tomorrow.

the only good pc game in the 90's i remember was myst
Even though I never beat it, and it was actually on a
macintosh
Only this kid named Erik Bear from my class could do it
But his dad was a science fiction writer and he was smart

I played it again lately and it wasn't as great as I
remember.

you haven't mentioned "Planescape: Torment", which is
fantastic.

in the 'new century' "Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the
Earth" was pretty great. it has quite a lot of faults
gameplay-wise, but the story and atmosphere are teriffic.

one of my friends played that, but i never got a chance. is
it worth picking up if I generally like horror games and
lovecraft?

I agree Cthulhu was/is great. A lot of problems with it, but
it's a credit to how original it is and how good the
story/atmosphere are, that you are prepared to put up with
the flaws. Very underrated game.

The Longest Journey was a great adventure game. Not sure
when that came out... ~2000ish. The sequal Dreamfall is
pretty good too.

Did anyone play the Shad of the beast series? Those games
were brilliant. I was very young when i played them, and
Shadow of the beast 2 scared the shit out of me.

Also, what the fuck was the name of that game, where you
played a man that was transformed into a monkey of sorts,
and had to save your girl and become human again?
