Hi xltronic, long time no spam, ha, ha.

Here are my latest songs, they are songs with singing. It is
a daring new musical direction and I hope you'll enjoy it.

You can listen to some of them on my myspace profile, or you
can download Mp3s of Better Quality:

Philippe Pétain sur France 3 - my latest one
Nazi qui a le SIDA - is supposedly cute and summery
My Green Shirt - an epic, not on myspace

You may also listen to the songs of Révolution Musicale, it is my
band and it can be your band too.

your links are a lie

but I'll just listen on myspace

phillipe pétain: you made the out-of-tune-ness work for you
on this one, baby! It's great! You may need to do some work
on the vocals (post processing, eq or something, I don't
actually know what to do, but I feel there's something
(purely technical) wrong). I may have anticipated the loud
part if I knew french, but I don't know. It's kind of late
here, so I'll have to listen to this and the rest of them at
a low volume so as to not disturb people. I may miss
details.

nazi qui: it isn't really anything special, just one of
those songs.

my green shirt: this is great! Maybe overdub your voice or
something, but other than that great!

would a translation of lyrics ruin the artistic intentions
or will I be able to know what the songs are about?

not to outspam you, but I think you may liket my cousins
stuff, Kanossa gang and Stonxyblot Proxy...

Philippe Pétain: Yay, the out-of-tune-ness is really what I
was going for and I'm glad you like it. I think the vocals
sound alright. This was mixed on crappy laptop speakers and
I'm surprised by how good it sounds, really. The lyrics are
a moderately random collage of rhetoric, politics and
various things on the Internet ("I am unable to come when
making love, what should I do? Is it my parents' fault or
that of the government?"). The loud part is totally
gratuitous. The lyrics preceding it are "that chemical
stuff, I'm not sure; it would be better to be able to get
cured with apples".

Nazi: I think this one is actually very strange, because
everything is played so sloppily. Concentrate on the drums,
it's a total mess and I like it. The lyrics are about how
the proletariat should melt the faces of the bourgeois and
chew their guts until their teeth fall out and their heads
split open because they chewed the guts with such great
abnegation
.

Green Shirt: I'm actually very unhappy with the vocals on
this one, and I think I'll re-record them. There might be
overdubs. The lyrics are about Antoine Gontrand, who would
like to be a flower but is only unable to look like a
houseplant thanks to his green shirt ("You don't need to
become vegetable / Don't have the pride of wanting to
transcend your humanity / Your shirt is cool, it's green and
that's what counts / Green is the colour of serenity")

I'm off to Metz for the weekend and I'll listen to your
cousins when I'm back.

Kisses.

my god man, the songs are pretty good but JESUS can't you
learn to play guitar in time?
And how hard is it to make a guitar sound reasonable? Yours
is so twangy and horrid.

Flick the switch on it to a different pickup, put a dash of
reverb on it, and learn to play in time to your drums. Then
you have an ace tune.

I'm sorry, this is actually how I want it to sound. :(

I recorded the guitar by plugging it into my laptop's mic
port. The drums were recorded afterwards and played in
Fruityloops with my computer keyboard. It's pretty awesome
really.

I made this this weekend, it's a cover of U2's With or
Without You in French: Révolution Musicale - Avec ou sans toi

Thanks friends

You might also notice that my synth sounds are twangy and
horrid as well, which is very coherent and commendable.
