and this animation was only like 45 k so I could make it twice as long! (if length is the major contributor to the... uh, the k's)... but UNFORtunATEly, I saved the background as all black... which ruined my plans to make it more complicated by haveing the same animation playing slightly out of phase right behind this one... only have it be blurred or something, like a shadow. This one changes from red to pinkish every 3 frames and a small explosion animation every 12 frames (total is 24 frames) so if this same animation lagged behind say, 4 frames, it would be quite weird since the red/pink flashing wouldn't align exactly with the flashing of this one...

then I used a built in "rotate effect" which makes it better probably, maybe not.
