i was once with 10+ mates and my girlfriend walking through town, i was walking a bit behind so i could chat with the missus. some bunch of about 5 chavs came up to me and girlfriend saying "are you lot startin?" (presumably meaning "would you like to fight with us so we can record it on a mobile phone") and i turned around to see what "us lot" thought, and the rest of my mates were a good 20m up the road. i just said "no, we're just finishing" and walked a bit faster. that confused their single collective brain cell for long enough for us to catch up. chavs are so fucking idiotic. you lot? there were 2 of us. id love to pull out a crossbow on a bunch of chavs that threatened me. a crossbow would be better than a handgun, the bolts would hurt way more and would give you tetanus if you wipe them in mud before you fire them. |

its a festering shit hole in places, a couple of the clubs are killer too (a pun haHA) but it has its nice points. considering its the second city the music scene is fucking abysmal though. no one will play here which means i end up travelling to nottingham every other weekend but that place aint much better. at least my lady lives there |

I disagree the media are to blame. surely the people who do this are antisocial fuckheads who are easily impressionable - in other words, if it hadn't been this, it would've been something they saw in some action movie, and so on. their mentality is distorted to begin with, anything can set people like that off. |

it's not just in the uk... there are chavs in france too (they're called "weshs"), and probably in most other countries as well... i really don't like those people. : / even when they're not being violent, their attitude is almost always unpleasant, always talking so loud, showing off with their ugly expensive clothes, provoking people... |
