haha, this guy, Roger Luke DuBois made a song called billboard and it's made up of all the tunes that have ever been on the top of the billboard list; each song gets one second for each week it spent on the top of the list, and each song is represented by some sort of middle value sound of what the whole song sounds like. The entire thing is supposed to be 37 minutes long and consists of 857 songs.

it all ends up sounding kind of like the soundtrack to certain parts of Silent Hill or something, but it's an interesting idea. I'm kind of curious about the technique used to analyse and re-represent the songs.. it says it's called time-lapse phonography, and it's something he developed himself, apparently...
