I feel stupid asking but:
France why did you change your name from being Gaul?
Gaul sounds more impressive.

Thailand Formosa sounded better IMO either is good. I am
more concerned about France shorting themselves with their
name.

The Gauls were celtic people. Later the Franks came and
settled there, hence the name France.
