these things are seriously fun. i own one of them(er-1)
and maybe someday ill get another. but here is my
question.
does anyone think they have the ability to work in an
inovative enviroment musically? i mean... the sounds are
very specifically genre oriented. ive been able to do what
i want with the er-1 but if you listen to the presets of of
the sample one and the em-1 they are very typical.

id be interested in hearing what other people have done with
these things if anyone.

i have an mc 303 and i hate it. i've been trying to sell it.
i don't like these "groove" oriented machines.

I have an er-1, and have been able to tweak all kinds of
things out of it, but nonetheless it tends to end up going
unused while i make truly wicked drum patterns in Fruity
Loops.

the only thing i'd find good for my mc-303 would be the drum
sounds.

mc-303 machines do suck, i would use the drums too though.
and although i agree that "groove machines" do suck for some
reason i enjoy the electribes. i just think they are fun.
almost like musical toys.

the only decent electribes are the es, and ea ( i have and
use both), my friend has the other two. the ea, will never
get old, and I process everything through my PC, anyways.
The es one would be really bad ass if not for the memory
restraints.

i had a play with the er-1 once (the red one?).

i got the es 1, i load up all my sounds by myself .... i
don´t like presets at all (o.k., there are some funny
samples in it, but the rest is crap) ...
