i just wondered. i tried to note down some music for the
first time in years, i was shocked at how much i've
forgotten. i guess i was interested in how/what people
write. like do you write down the scores for any music you
produce with hardware/software?

Never. It's pointless.

oh, no, I don't write scores for my own stuff.. that I just
remember.. I'm not trained in anything, so I can't really
read'n'play if you know what I mean.. I read the notes at
the beginning of the song, then I play by ear until I get to
the next place I can't figure out like that then I consult
the notes then I play by ear again.. I know how to read and
write notes as such, though, so I've been practicing a bit
lately, writing notes, etc...

i know vaguely how to do it. never felt the need to though.

i made my own lame system up using letters and different
sized boxes. it works if you think up a tune and dont want
to forget it.

thats very useful, i woke up this mornning at like 5 o clock
and dreamed a nice tune, i had it perfectly circeling round
my mind, but didnt want to put it into buzz at that time so
i tried to conserve it on paper, didnt work though, i have
but not the slightest idea what that damn stuff means i
wrote down.
if i wasnt studiying i had it done now...

normally i tried to put it into boxes tagged 0-16,
but forgot that tonight.

anyway it was for guitar only and i dont have one
(like in my dream)
