I've noticed that many people on this mb think that
drill&bass is easy to make. have you actually tried to do a
proper drill&bass tune? (I'm talking
squarepusher-calibre-quality) I have (quite a few times) and
it's very difficult to make. It's propably people who don't
make they're own music who would think this.

you need something that can time stretch drum loops like a
bitch (pro tools maybe)

Anyone know if CoolEdit pro would be sufficiant for
drill+bass use?

RobinsAlter-Ego
you asked about cool edit. i use cool edit pro and
fruityloops for most of my composing and i can say cool edit
pro is great for editing drums and such. great slicing,
copy, paste, lots of different kinds of eqs and built in
reverbs, mix paste or replace paste or insert paste, or even
modulate paste. time stretch works pretty good, not too
much sound quality loss but the loss that there is sounds
cool :)

It would be great if you could do it all in one go.
