I'm looking for a graphics program other than Photoshop. Or
maybe a plug in for photoshop or Illustrator. Something that
is fun to use. Like an easel for digital art. With lots of
effects and interactive things, but nothing too overused.
Like the flare effect. Thanks

Jasc Paint Shop Pro is OK. I started using that in 98 before
I learned Photoshop. But do yourself a favour and just learn
PS instead. It is by far the greatest program ever.

download.com, sort by freeware, resort by user reviews

browse by category or keyword

software

gimp is good, but it SUCKS for animations

the main thing I found other than gimp is paint.net (not
original paint) since I was sizearching for something
earlier, but I reckon I'll get gimp again, then get a
seperate animation program(s)

I like searching random things at download.com; there's some
cool software out there.

paint.net is pretty much like photoshop but it's only like
4mb big, and it's completely free. google it and enjoy :)

I guess I meant something like that old Bryce software but
way less cheezy. I know there are some really good plug in
progs for PS out there. I'll have to look around more. If I
have PS do I need gimp?

Corel Painter, Artrage, Opencanvas 1.1, Artweaver, Systemax
SAI, that's about it.
