yes, but Beethoven is often regarded as an early Romantic,
as well as late Classical... these genre definitions are
elusive. it's not really that important anyway.

no.. he was one of the first romanticists.

it doesn't go strictly by time. listen to the orchestra he
would use (far too large for the classical period) and the
classical rules that he broke.

Pretty much everything. I find them divine. Really serene
and beautiful "thinking music".

We all look for different things in music, i like the
goldberg variations for my own reasons.
