browsed through crammed.be, label of Aksak Maboul founders, i noticed this Konono № 1 - Congotronics thing. i'm at 1st track yet but it is worth posting already. Do get yourself a copy if music seemed boring to you lately. Likembe (their instrument) google image - i've played on such thing, a friend has it, but I didn't know how it was called. sounds good! :) |

saw them last summer here in toronto... great time... really happy awesome music. some reason i just kept smiling and bopping along with it.... although after an hour i felt like I could do without them for alittle bit. just when they'd slow down thinking it was done... boom they'd be back into that whirling techno'ish sound again. they finally stopped. i went home. i did not buy their cd. but i did enjoy our time together. we held each other, them on instruments me on step. dancing :D |
