I've been off the net for a while so I don't know if
someone's said this, but I was watching ads on Film Four
(non-Brits: it's a cool channel that shows certain movies,
Coen stuff, Scorcese, other shit too) and there was an ad
for a Joe Pesci flick, which said "Nice Joe" where he's all
happy with his bird and stuff, and "Bad Joe" where he's
beating the holy fuck out of someone. Well, the music for
the two segments was 'Avril 14th' and 'Cock Ver/10' :o)

I saw that. :) I remember hearing Windowlicker playing as
background music for the Brit Award ads.

I'm always hearing IDM as backing music for TV. I hate it.
It cheapens the music that I love. Moby's Play has been
killed by adverts

I heard the second track on SAW II on a programme on C4
about Amish youth. That was cool as it fitted the programme,
but usually its a case of gettting some nice, non-intrusive
music.

Do you really think that "IDM" won't worm it's way in to the
popular media? There's a reason why it's good, IMHOP, and
that's because it's a new evolution in music. It's just a
matter of time before the Britney Spear's of the world start
sounding like 10 year old Squarepusher. But then again,
think what the underground and new "IDM" will sound like.
