Headphone paranoia

Not sure if this is common, but when listening through
headphones on a public service or in the car, I am
constantly making sure no one else can hear it. Not because
I'm embarrased about the music, but because I know how
annoying it can be to faintly hear other peoples music.

Also, hi-hats are the worst sound to hear. They sound so
tinny and shit when you're not the person listening, and
they can be heard by others about as much as the listener
can hear them.

when I was younger, I used to make sure everybody could hear
what I was listening to. It was like "haha I'm listening to
better music than you'll ever know.. FUCK YOU bus cunts"

Now I ride a bike with bud earphones under my helmet, so its
pretty safe to say they can't hear me.

you cant hear mine when they're on my head but as soon as i
take them off POW you're blasted with power of electronic
music. then people give me weird looks. so i just make sure
i dont take them off on the bus.

do other people besides you actually listen to any similar
music to you? cause all anyone ever listens to around here
is bad hip-hop and indie rock.

illegal or something?

You wear a helmet? Wow. I figured most people were lazy or
didn't care enough too. I'm proud. :]

I love wearing headphones when walking into busy
intersections or bus terminals. Places with lots of traffic
to drown out all the noise.

i dont know, i just always thought it was. i didn't say it
made sense. <3 I think the old guy who taught my drivers
education class said it was, but god knows why i would
believe him.

anyway, i only get paranoid like that when i bring my laptop
along and use it in a public place. i dont really know why.
usually its just class stuff anyway.

on the bus i try to have my music quiet enough to not be
heard, but loud enough to drown out screaming kids, kappa
slappers on the phone saying 'whateva', old people moaning,
other people with their music too loud....

know what you mean - when i get on a bus or into an elevator
i always turn the volume down. but actually i dunno if this
is because because i don't want to annoy anyone or because
i'm afraid of people asking me "what do you listen to"

the case solved itself quite good after buying myself some
closedcircuit sennheisers. the amount of noise getting out
is really minimal

When I wear headphones I have to watch they don't fall out
of my ears. Because they quite often do.

your headphones and mp3 player.

i like to wear those real soundproof ones, where its
completly silent without music at first, then i like to put
on some "i care because you do", close my eyes and walk into
busy traffic.

I hear voices saying my name when I'm listening to music on
headphones, I constantly have to pause it and look around.
