What's that? I have Streetfighter II- The Animated Movie but
I don't remember a series... any connection to that movie? I
kind of liked that movie, really goofy anime but some of the
fight scenes were actually pretty good. I remember there's a
scene of Ken driving in a convertible listening to Alice in
Chains, ha.

I've actually been playing SFII lately, the Xbox Live
release got me interested again. And the game is ceaselessly
appealing. It still looks, sounds and plays great.

Fav characters-
I was one of those guys that just picked Ryu every time I
played, but now I usually pick Guile. I'm pretty one
dimensional though, I'm only confident when playing as Ryu,
Guile or Sagat.

e. honda or fei long for me. it all depends on which version
of street fighter 2 i'm playing.

in japan, vega is the Big Red Boss, m. bison is the boxer
and balrog is the spanish fellow. the changes were made
because capcom usa were afraid of mike tyson doing something
to them.

thanks for clearing that up. I feel stupid. I actually knew
that
but thought roybivcore was reffering to some sprite change/
story change I wasnt aware of. cause I know some version
had him being blonde and another being with brown hair.

FOTNS is a good anime series as well.

What's your favorite version? Mine's probably Super Turbo,
as long as I'm playing against a human opponent because the
AI in the game is relentless. I really miss Ryu's fancy new
punches and cheap Mega Hadoken when I play the other games.

Hyper Fighting is the one on XBLive and they probably made
the right choice there, nicely balanced.

yeah, super turbo for me as well since it's the closest to a
modern fighter. the only 2d fighter i play for competition
is street fighter III: 3rd strike since it's the smoothest
dang fighter ever. street fighter 2 and the alpha games will
always hold a special place in my heart, but they're so
clunky to play nowadays that i just throw them on for a
nostalgic laugh.

oh yeah, i forgot to mention zangief. nobody can touch me
when i play zangief.

Alpha 3 is the shit. Used to be a pretty hardy scene down at
the arcade, lots of guys from hong kong and all that. Played
it every day for about 5 years! then one day, they took it
away...
