“many mouths" is a potential audiobulb project > for the
project page

the idea is as follows

each artist is invited to send a file to audiobulb AT NOSPAM
gmail.com

the file must be one bar of original music @ exactly 120
bpm

in wav or aiff format

the file must be titled as such
"artist_name-music_name-manymouths"

these pockets of sound will be stitched together to form a
piece - maybe many minutes long

each artist can send a maximum of four files

---------------------------------

I guess it is possible that the project could be released in
the future in some format - to cover this eventuality please
include the following statement:::

I "NAME" give audiobulb records permission to reproduce,
distribute and collect income on the following music

Artist name and track name

Via CD, CD-R or digital distribution

I understand that Audiobulb Records will pay all proceeds
obtained (net profit) to charity.

i've got to be painfully honest.. this will sound fucking
terrible

a bad idea.

i don't think it will

loads of snippets have come in from em411 that sound
beautful - but it depends what type of sound you take as a
reference for "fucking terrible" --- i tend to dig cut up
evolving sounds > the skill will be in the assembling of the
pieces

get on board guys - this could be the biggest compilation of
all time :)

and remember the sound you put in must be original

I'd want to try it. If I can ever get my music computer
running.

When you say one bar, you mean 4 counts in one measure. Like
in a 16 step sequencer filling from 1-16 and everywhere in
between?

1 bar at 120 bpm is 2 seconds of music

sounds like a good idea, it might sound a mess unless all
the parts are arranged in some way, organised by general
feel etc.

however, I, as many others, don't have high hopes for the
outcome of this.. you're just going to get something that
sounds like a very very fast medley with no apparent
structure. not only will the main melody be changing, but
the instrumentation on all lines and the main percussive
structure...

yee of little faith - the bulb usually makes things work :)

+ think about producing something that will flow with other
sounds?

+ the project is curated - if it don't fit it is'nt in....

...also, I take it you could loop the same bar in places
too; nothing to say each sound can only be played once.
