ok...its very important the point that you made...tom seems to be stronger in the present as aphex is said to be not as strong as in the middle 90s and that was more than 5 years ago... aphex has been the best of the bests...but man is he really the best now? dont you think that we should count the importance of the trayectories. I mean if we take a look at their whole discography...then aphex is surely ahead...but dont forget that tom started his big career in 1995 just when aphex reached his top. since that year tom hasnt stopped growing....and aphex is a bit living of what he did in the past. dont get me wrong... I love drukqs but aphex (imo) needs to show us his strengh again cos he hasnt lately... and tom is growing so fast... ok he is not as varied as aphex.... Tom has done the hardest championship...as he had to pass over the toughest opponents...and he did pass them with great strengh. Normaly I would choose aphex but evaluating the work in the past 5 years and how they did in this championship... MY VOTE GOES TO: SQUAREPUSHER!!! sorry aphex...I hope I dont get banned for this |

I vote Aphex Twin without much hesitation. I feel the same mates... I wouldnt be here loving all this music if it wasnt for aphex.... I wouldnt even know tom if it werent for aphex.... but I am not saying tom is better... but at this stage i cant either say that aphex is better...and because of this and seeing what they did in the past years I wanted to help pusher to the championship |

Woofer: Yeah, Go Plastic is such a powerful, masterful work of supersonic art. Whereas Drukqs shows that it is a work of genius, albeit of bored one, trying to flash us with the technique because he can't think of anything to say... Also a lot of short tracks on it are really throwaway and were probably just sketches he couldn't be bothered with developing further. Mind you, some of these short tracks are beautiful, but for the rest... I guess he has a Hard disk full of similar stuff, no better and no worse than whats on the album. |
