true there is tastier food. sometimes you just get that feeling that can only e satisfied by f 'n c. Some of my overseas friends don't even know what fish and chips are and think its weird that we eat that as a meal. sure they have seafood, but not fish and chip shops like us.
i eat it about once a week.

Kind of. I usually pull all the batter off the fish. My problem with fish and chips now is that it's quite expensive. It's not a cheap meal once you're talking yourself into the mushy peas etc... I'm better off getting a chinese.

It's gotta be cooked right, and a decent piece of fresh fish, not too scaly and rubbery.

Theres nothing quite like the feeling of walking past a fish n chip shop and smelling the air... and then stopping in your tracks, jangling the change in your pockets and then nipping back inside and buying some greasy delicious food from an extremely curt and sweaty old woman

There is a place here in riverside called the Falconer that has the TASTIEST fish and chips. A little pricey though...
like 14.95(US) for cod or 16.95 for halibut
each comes with 3 pieces and than a mountain of fries(chips).

I love a good bit of haddock lovingly fried in batter... not so keen on chips though, unless they're drenched in curry sauce.

I find I get really hungry after a long swim (particularly if it's in the sea, rather than in a pool). Really massively ravenous, literally more hungry than when I've just not eaten for a day or two.
A large portion of Fish and chips is really the only thing that sates that hunger.
That said, I don't have fish and chips that often when I've not been swimming.

The cafe next to where I used to go sailing did absolutely superb chips that were really crisp on the outside, but soft inside. It's not just like they were good chips, but they were so much better that they made normal chip shop chips all seem soggy and fat drenched in comparison.
I think the problem in many of the chippies near me is that they are so popular (lots of chavs) that the chips have always only just been put in the fryer and haven't had a chance to cook properly, but because a queue is mounting up, they serve them anyway.
