i think i'd go with pajo. i always liked his music, but the
new album made me look into his work much more thoroughly.

and please try to keep it serious, i'd like to broaden my
horizons :)

Stereolab. I buy an album whenever I get the chance. Their
sound is magical. Probably my most listened band for the
past while.

Max Richter, simple classical (with electronic toutches and
ambiences, environmental recordings etc) really nice, often
quite mellow

i listen to bits of new one but it sounded to much like his
previous one and that sort of put me off of it.

Probably Paul Giger, I've gotten into so much great weird
classical shit via ECM Records. God I love them.

Lords Of The Underground

produced one of the best albums of early 90s hiphop but they
dont get much mention at all, so I only just discovered them

I agree it sounds very similar, and the one I got before
that sounded similar to that one and so on, but im still
very new to Max so for me it's ok :) I never really expected
something groundbreaking etc from his music so im listening
in a more of a "ah, nice melody in this one" kind of a way
and it's nice background music wich doesnt desperately
scream for attention and tire out the ears, that's another
plus in my book.

I bought a 4cd Townes Van Zandt set a year ago. I never got
into it before I in late august had a long trip by train
with an extreme hangover. I listened to his four first
albums twice and really discovered the beauty in his songs.

Pinch. Only 2 singles (and a couple of remixes) but great
stuff. It's fairly minimal (even as dubstep goes) dubstep on
Mu. Qawwali (the standard, not the VIP version) is great.

if you like that try out a hawk and a hacksaw. it's
basically the same thing with only difference that barnes is
original. his 3rd album under a hawk and a hacksaw just
leaked and it's great as well.

I can't say I feel this way for all of his tracks (some are
just average), but "My Kill Jack's On" is one of my favorite

The Isness/The Otherness - lots of shit has been written
about the album/albums, that it's not the FSOL it used to be
, that it's not as electronic as it should be.....well, fuck
the haters - those albums are filled with lots of good
songs....i'm glad i risked re-listening them and finally
appreciating them

And that was quite a while ago.

Although I am getting more into Antonio Vivaldi now.
(He's more than just the "four seasons")
