i would've thought that it meant that someone who's a friend
of a friend is a friend of a friend's friend and so forth,
but I guess everyone is a part of the extended network.

that didnt explain anything really, but it's an extra point
for me atleast

I think thats what it is. Friend of a friend and so on.
Basically, if Tom is your friend, your extended network is
gonna consist of everyone, and their dog.

"Tom" defeats the extended network feature..

really very stupid.

nah i have a new intel mac and DP5 :D

Unfortunately i'm being hindered by the whole universal
binary issue with old software vs new software. It's a real
pain in the ass. Neither Battery 3 (supposedly universal
binary) or reaktor 5 (not yet universal binary) are
recognised by it.

Emailed Native Instruments.

Once i have it sorted, i will be hap hap happy again.

oh yeh i forgot you went over to the dark side! lol

i knew the universal binaries would cause problems with
things like this

is it just NI stuff you're having trouble with?

yes. Now that my m-audio soundcard drivers and firmware were
released! In fairness, native instruments stuff is all i use
these days. I gave up on Reason and all the rest is
hardware. Just hope i can get it sorted soon, then i have no
more worries. Sigh. Big waiting game with these things.
