I just bought the remastered version of Speak & Spell that
also comes with a dvd and it's fantastic. The sound is
really improved and the documentary on the dvd is priceless.
It has loads of old footage and interviews with all the
original band members and the people that signed and
recorded them and even an interview with the guy that shot
the cover art! I'm so pleased with this reissue that I think
I have to collect them all... Anyone have any of the other
reissues yet?

I can sing like the depeche mode guy

no words only a weird reverb drenched muttering

haha, true dat!

cooked together any new imaginary 7"s? it's not normally my
type of music, but there's lots of good stuff to cut and
modify in them...

No, not in a long while... they have all been deleted by
rapidshare as well, so we have to do a re-up one of these
days... I'm expecting kid number three in less than a month
though so I'm tied down by hormones most of the time... What
about you then? Any new tracks lately?

congratulations on your virility and reproductive skills!

yeah, I make new ones all the time.. I don't upload as many,
though.. the latest one I uploaded is Tandberg! which I
used this old reel to reel-ish thingie (attached pic) I
found at my grandmas house and put back into order.. I only
used it for the drums here, but I have been experimenting
with it, and I believe it may be the key to some of the
awesomest synth sounds ever!

Awesome! I used to have one of those when I was a kid, a
slightly newer one. Regretably, it broke down completely..
Nice tune! Nice and cheezee...

I think I share your taste in cheese.

cheese is awesome! the cheesiest tune I ever made (fake
guitar, fake wave sound, real birds, etc) may be in the
process of getting vocals right now!

you should try and fix the thing if you still have it.. I
thought this one was completely broken too, but all it
needed was some belt alignment, a new fuse and disconnecting
the internal speaker...

Well, it fell from a table to the floor face down so all the
stuff that holds the reels in place is broken. I doubt that
I can find spare parts to replace this. I would love to work
with that old machine again though. I think I have it
stashed away somewhere...

heh.. du kan faktisk skaffe reservedeler gjennom norsk
radiohistorisk forening eller noe slikt, men det er dyrt..
for dyrt.

Åsåm! Da må jeg prøve å finne ut hvor jeg har gjort av
den...mulig min bror sitter på den...

And yes, you should provide some vocals to the tandberg
track. I think that would be kult!

Seems like every pre-1990 band is being rereleased using
remastered deluxe edition albums these days. Is this a new
cash cow for the major labels now that the record sales are
dwindling?

Weird reverb drenched muttering? Hell, why not!

Yes, I've noticed that myself, but these depeche reissues
are the best I've ever seen. They make me feel very very old
though...

I've seen them but won't be getting them. I've fallen forr
