I like the sound of Massive.

FM8 not so much

Absynth sounds worse than ever. Horrible, horrible cheap
thin scratchy presets. ugh.

Massive looks very promising to be honest, I look forward to
give it a go.

Yep, I like the look of it too. Could get a bit confusing
mind; there's already a Reaktor instrument called Massive
(drum machine if I remember right).

I love Absynth2, but thought 3 was a bit bloated- adding
things for the sake of it, so don't really fancy 4.

Claw is great. Have you tried Beast (it's like a bigger
version of Claw)?

I do like "big" sounding synths like that and some of the
dirtier absynth/z3ta patches.

Fuck, just listening to the absynth 4 presets. They're
horrible. The first one sounds like someone doing a half
baked cover of Eno's "An Ending" and they've turned it up
too loud so the resonance is clipping like a mofo.

native allot of the times sounds borderline not good, in the
direction of fl plugins
for some sounds pro53 is great, but for some you'd better
use korg electric6

pro53 is modelled after some pro5 synth. is this pro5
modelled after moog?

That sucks, I did the same thing with live. I bought Live 5
a week before they announced Live 6 and that anyone buying 5
on that date or after would get free upgrades.

Not me! :)

I was just pointing out that they were (unlike
Massive's)especially bad choices when it came to sound
samples showing the software in a positive light.

imho they are releasing too much things at once lately.

i mean absynth 3 still sounds funky fresh and maybe just an
update would be better than changing everything...

i can't listen to those fucking sound samples because my
firefox has some weird flash plugin issue.

but massive looks tasty tough - i like the idea with the 8
"instant knob" section. i guess that's reather made to work
with kore (what a coincidence - 8 knobs??) but i guess all
those new automap controllers will come in handy.

fm 8 - hm now that's really a thing that i'm waiting for !

wtf ? i had to switch to internet explorer to listen to
those damn samples... that's the first problem with firefox
i ever had.

I could play those samples using firefox.

about the synths: I'm less enthousiatic about them than I
used to be when something was released. probably because
there are so many great softsynths already

carbon 2

Yeah, ha ha, I was thinking the same thing - this is like
one of those Mike Daliot monster synth ensembles compiled as
a standalone VST. I wouldn't be surprised if they prototyped
it in Reaktor. But I bet it runs a lot more efficiently and
has all kinds of unique optimized code for the oscs, filters
and effects.

Im all for new shit, but i dont think sticking an easier
mode on fm7 and getting another 'phat' amazing trance synth
line machine is going to hype me into getting them.

i just stick verring on everything for those lovely step
modulated type lines.
