i'm two weeks into the semester and my books that i ordered
through amazon haven't shown up yet! i forgot to change my
address so they were shipped to where i used to live,
however i filed a change of address form with usps to
forward my mail to me...they haven't forwarded my books
though and i'm already behind on the reading that i can't do
at the library

i can't find my keys to the register drawers and office at
work

my car is broken down and i still owe money on the
last repair

i requested an evening and the following morning off at work
for next saturday and received a bitchy comment from the
scheduling manager about how i need to ask the boss first
because too many people are requesting off for that day (as
if i should know!) before i make a scheduling request....

and, i can hardly pay my bills

there, that feels better (not really)

mimi: what do you study?

----

I'm getting drunk and going to a party, but I've got a cold,
so I may be "that sick guy in the couch." I also fear
tomorrow morning.

I may have a bit of trouble coming up with a relevant
problem for my term papers this semester.

my main concern at the moment is money. i'm doing an art
foundation course, for which i have to commute to, and the
car park costs £8 a fucking day. lunch costs me about £3
and petrol is a bomb (1 hour 30 mins a day). it's a 5 day
week with 20 hours extra to be done at home. it's gonna end
up costing roughly £100 a week just to bloody go there, and
that's not even including the materials i will need to
constantly buy.

i'm serious here. something isn't right. stuff is costing
more and more whilst wages are staying exactly the same. i
need some rich person to sponsor my education!

i dont really study any one thing in particular, i am
fulfilling general education requirements before choosing a
major (i want to be a teacher)

thanks obie

oh yeah, my cat also scratched me in the neck and now
there's a weird rash there which has remained there for a
week. it's scaly, dry, reddish brown and fairly prominent.

damn i love life.

and compare it to your current expenses.

That's ridiculous. When I did my Foundation, some time in
the 18th Century, I used to pay 12 quid a month to get the
bus there.

8 quid a day, on parking? A student? What a world we live
in.

Mind you, Art Foundation, should be discouraged.

that is the other thing that stresses me out, the bus does
not come frequently enough! if i took the bus to spanish
class, let's say...i can choose between being 3 hours early
and 10 minutes late.

ah, right.

remember to put some drama pedagogy in there.. kids learn
more if you have them role-play different parts in what
you're teaching them (of course, this doesn't apply to
maths, etc but just about any other class).

im worrying about not being able to have fun in my adult
life. im 21. everything seems to be about money and 'cred'.
i hate it

i worry that the world arond me is just a simulated

I have considered public transport but it's slow and would
involve me sitting on a bus for 3 hours in a day, which is
something i'm not really prepared to do. the college offers
free parking to very few. this year i believe it was 3 in
fact. the life i looked foward to is turning out to be
pretty horrible.

oh yeah.. isn't the us very disinterested in supporting
public transportation? I heard from a mate who was there a
year the area he was in (that city with the golden gate
stuff) had removed those yellow school buses so people
had to drive their kids to school...

is the bus route longer than the driving route, or do you
just prefer riding your car for three hours instead of the
bus?

that's san francisco, i don't really believe they would not
have school buses, totally outrageous.

anyway..some cities have decent bus systems, when i was in
seattle over the summer the buses come every 15 minutes,
like a clockwork..here in madison we aren't such a big city
and the bus system is going bankrupt as it is...so not only
are the routes available minimal, but the buses sometimes
don't even come!

he lived in a suburbish area.. menlo park or something...
his father worked at some university place there for a year,
but it is a while back... or.. he just recently told
me about it when we were discussing public transportation
(how studenty of us), and the rest of his family was just
there for a year (came back this summer), and I think his
little sister may have needed the bus, but there was no
bus.. I'm not sure. Anyway, I think the government (maybe
some local government thing?) decided they wouldn't spend
money on supporting the buses, and no private firms seemed
to believe it profitable.

all together the car takes 1hour 30mins a day. the bus takes
twice as long because it takes a massive detour, and may i
add, a pointless detour

far behind on studying for school due to lack of willpower
and nintendo

long serious relationship with an online g/f who i have yet

with first

full-time at college in days plus part-time work at nights =
tiring

far less time to write music than ever before

I worry about not amounting to much in this sometimes
insufferable world. I want grandeur, I want felicity!…I
want, just once, to do something that shines, that gleams
with the sparkle of success, that I might turn to what ever
that accomplishment is and be satisfied by the sight of it
so I might, finally, lay myself down to sleep, happily…
