Off my nut on pills! Oh I wish... my mate's gettin em sorted
for Thursday but till then I'm straight as a die... well, a
loaded die as I've got some booze (not Laphroig,
though...)... got 2kg of mush but I ain't takin em.

Drunken Mastah - you ever tried Lagavulin? That's my whisky
of choice, although Laphroig ain't bad...

So come on then, a prize for the first person who tells me
where the quote's from.

lagavullin.. no, I don't think so, but I'll look for it the
next time I go to buy.. I see it's Islay, but I know there
are mild islays.. is it like laphroaig in general taste?

this shit aint tha shit yo

It's a peaty malt like all Islays are and it still has a
kick to it, but it goes down like liquid gold, it's really
something else. It can be hard to get hold of, there's only
one shop where I live that does it and it's pretty
expensive. We stock Laphroig in the shop I work in (though
not for long as I've been made redundant) and it costs £25,
for Lagavulin it's £35 but it's worth it, a really special
whisky. Well worth the money for those who appreciate good
whisky, though not as hard hitting as Laphroig which is
famous for its kick. When I start another job I'll be
getting a bottle. Last year I splashed out a ridiculous
amount of money on a 25 year old cask strength Lagavulin but
it wasn't worth it at all. Just get the normal one and I
think you'll like it, very smoky aroma and flavour.

Obara: yarbles! great bolshy yarblockos to you! :)

hmm.. it's easily available here, and the 16year old wasn't
too expensive (just a few more kroner than laphroaig).. I'll
check it out next time.

I already got a bottle of laphroaig and a bottle of
smokehead in my cabinet, but the next thing I'm buying will
actually be baileys I think.. I've got an awful cold, and
coffee and baileys is awesome for that shit.. plus it's
basically just an irish coffee that's a bit easier to mix...

It's Hey Hey, Can U Relate? Which is a good track.

I'll just take Kudos.

Glad you can get Lagavulin easily. I currently live in a
very poor excuse for a city so it's more difficult. Never
heard of Smokehead, is it good? Mix Baileys 50/50 with
brandy (pref. Martell), it'll blow your head off.

Dog Belch: Yay for you! I'm listening to Blechsdottir right
now, getting back into the swing of things courtesy of XLT.
Huzzahs all round! You sure you don't want the prize? Kudos
is gratis...

smokehead is islay, and apparently rather new. they seem to
be targeting a younger audience or something, but.. it's
like laphroaig only slightly more cognac-y

I've become more than a bit partial to brandy of late...

It's cheap as chips as well...and there's nothing quite like
a nice brandy coffee first thing in the morning (although
drinking first thing in the morning is, I suspect, not the
greatest of ideas)..

Ice in whisky! That's sacrilege, at least with good whisky.

Jand: morning boozin, gotta love it. Now I'm jobseeking I
shall hopefully be doin more of that, once I've redecorated
the house that is.
