i will! i'm only just starting out. in a year i will be starting a photography degree after i have finished my art foundation. i'm sure at that time i will find myself. obviously though i made a woefully fatal error advertising on xlt. i will never make that mistake again unless it's more "intellectual" and "niche", for all you edgy individuals. |

The fucking Conscience of XLT, what are its unwritten rules? If someone posts something fucking awful, just don't say anything (and ignore their "bumps") If someone posts something mediocre, say "Cool mate, try a different snare / slightly crop the picture on the right", but offer no more. If someone posts anything good, ignore it, because it confuses you. |

Yeah, I think swears was right, you just can't compete at your skill level at the moment. No one in their right mind will buy those pictures. Sorry. But I think that's the truth. But keep at it if it's something you love, and actively try to become a better, perhaps more interesting photographer. I mean, come on, those bee pictures are absolutely horrible. I will say that you are at least 10 times better at photography than I am. Someday I'll post some of mine to give you a boost in morale. And it does seem that you have an alright "eye" for this medium. Just work on it, then some more, and then more, until you can post a picture that drops the jaws of the xlt collective. Hmm, I wonder if anyone else remembers this other Raz0rBlade_uk ? |

why do you always have to have the last fucking word? i already admitted that they're shit. i actually said "move on", and have now realised the error of my ways. i already said that i haven't even been educated about photography (i will be doing a degree) yet, and so, obviously, of course my perception of photography is going to change. i'm not a total idiot anyway as i wasn't trying to do anything different (YES I KNOW! WHAT A FUCKING MISTAKE). i thank you for REALLY opening my eyes to how catastrophically horrible my photos are, and I agree, nobody would EVER buy ANY of these, NOT EVEN in a million years. THEY ARE TOTAL CONTRIVED BOLLOCKS. what pisses me off most is how you ignore my posts and continue to fucking belittle me and always seek to get the upper hand. you're so god damn fucking competitive. THANK YOU. i can't thank you enough for making me realise what I have done, but please, next time, please don't be such a fucking whore about it. |

good also, remember that even when you're good at something, maybe technically, you're still going to get 90% crap output. take chick, for instance. Now, I can't stand her.. she's a nauseating little feminist, but she's got some skills on the photography. Unfortunately, she, as many others, is too uncritical of her own work, so 90% of the pics on her page, though technically good, etc, are still wank.. I also do this on occasion with my music, but I also keep on reminding myself to delete the shit music (there may be split opinions on this, hi hi he he ha ha).. also I do not try to sell my music, which requires an even higher degree of self-scrutiny. |

why not, though? the more time you spend making stuff (in whatever field, music, writing, photography, etc.), the more feedback you get - the more you'll appreciate an upfront, honest approach. it saves time on everybody's part and you can actually learn from it, which is possible too from the "vaseline-y" approach, but it takes a lot longer, and you'll both be aware that you're doing a "luvvy-luvvy" dance anyway, so why bother? |
