Just caught them, where APhex Twin was nominated... it was
pretty cool... the host called him "The Cornwall Kraftwerk"
and said he was brilliant... but it didn't really sound
truthful... but who knows...

hehe, yeah it's a scary thought... imagine Drukqs being
played on the radio... :)

i'd love it, recently i had 54 cymru beats playing on my
stereo when my dad came in... he was shocked that i even
called that music :)

That's what i like about aphex, the fact that hardly anyone
else really appreciates it... it kinda makes me special

hahaha :)

it's definately beautiful music... take away the drums on
Drukqs, and you have the most beautiful melodies... keep the
drums in, and you still have the most beautiful melodies,
but you have to dig a bit more... Drukqs is an excellent
album...

i totally agree :)

but i wish there was a more even balance to the ambiant
music, and the breakbeat-ish music... There are sadly enough
to few really hard tracks

well personally I love all the tracks on Drukqs except maybe
Gwarek and the track after it... but I do find it hard to
listen to much of it in one sitting, because the fast and
crazy tracks start to give me a head ache after a while...
so yeah, a better balance between the crazy songs, and the
softer ones would've been nice... but I guess there's no
point in complaining...

no, i'm not complaining, but since it's 2 cd set, one
ambiant and one hard cd would have probably been
possible...

But that's probably aphex for ya :)

yeah I agree... but like has been already said, he probably
just meant for us to make our own cds, and decide on the
track orders then and stuff...

Do you know anything about his contracts btw? I'm wondering
if he still has a contract that states he has to release
some stuff in the coming years...

It would be cool to know something's still coming up

I enjoy the constant changing of styles, like Richard is
flexing his music muscles...

"See I can do beautiful soft piano solos..."

"And now here I do head banging beats, but still with a
beautiful melody..."

"And this time I'm making disturbing ambient sounds..."

"And now we have a beautiful piano track..."

And on and on and on :)
