i read about this man as a music influenced by Legati..

then i listen a record of a friend..i was very stressable
for this fucking real noises._my freind told me he got some
very "ambients works"...

then i read a aphex twein interview

then i download a few records.
..like to enjoy and discover musics but sometimes got no
time for it like in past years

somebody knows about Xenakis?

whats about his records, like david bowie i supposed got very
differents moods and masks.....Xenakis does not wear fashion
style, but i think he got two big bollocks.and a fucked up
mind for sound.:thanks

I don't think he has a fucked up mind for sound, he's just a
good composer, has a good ear for sound.

he does probably have two really big sweaty bollocks, but I
don't know for sure.

I don't know that many pieces, I'm afraid. but one I really
liked is called "Légende d'Éer (Diatope)". it's very
varied, kind of musique concrète-y, all over the place.

it's wiiild, man.

I'd rather hear Xenakis talking about Xenakis.

I found "Légende d'Éer" at my library. Quite interesting
sounds (after some heavy editing). Thanks for the afx-clip!

ive only heard the piece played on the bbc radio 3 show with
richard d james from around 1995. it was pretty manic
"yeerpy" and "scrapy" sounding.

i enjoyed it

I like some of Xenakis' ideas quite a bit. The limited
amount of stuff I've heard of his is very interesting but
like many 20th century works is much more gratifying
ideologically than phenomenologically and doesn't easily
prompt repeat listens.

i think it goes without saying his "electronic music" album
is a good place to start. i like diamorphoses and persepolis
too, he's got bog loads of stuff tho.
