I Love Lucy, hehe.

Seriously though, that was frickin' great, not my kind of
music, but it was so nice sounding, so polished. Nice
synths, wowee! Very well done, you're very good. Veeerrrryyy
good. I hate you. :-/

i make some music, too. But as Ophecks here, i'm too lazy to
finish each track and to make a whole song out of it.... I
got like 135 loops that i've made...

I WANT to finish more tracks, but I'm very lazy. The stuff I
have in my head is very hard to duplicate in real life, cuz
I have no talent for programs and things. The music I have
up is not the sound I'm going for.

Being lazy sucks sometimes, eh Phresch?

thanks guys!
phresch, thats a common problem, what kind of setup do you
have?

offline hexagonaldope on 2002-03-10 01:37 [#00119392]

you can break out of that though ophecks, just make up your
mind to record one complete track, dont worry about how good
it is, just bang it out, you'll grow from that point! =o)

you mean software? eh, Dreamstation, SoundForge 5.0 and Acid
Pro...and Fruityloops (i actually not a big fan of
Fruityloops, complicated...again, i'm too lazy)

:-( I know... but I'm a perfectionist, and since I'm not
very good, I always fall WELL short of perfection! :-) So
it's annoying to make music that doesn't please me, and it
takes so long and is SO hard to make music that pleases
me... grr, once I get more free time when I don't have to
worry about college, I'll probably sit down and out some
effort into it.

i actually prefer loops. i can sit and listen to a loop that
i've made for an hour or so, i'm not joking. it's like i've
put all my effort into one short time-segment.

Those trax were absolutely charming. Nice use of fx. A bit
drawn out (altho thats my critisism for everything musical).
What kind of software are you using?

Flappypants. THere are two different places that you can
sequence shit. The step sequencer and the playlist. You make
your loops in the step sequencer, then you arange them in
the playlist.

im using reason and cubase. I make the track in reason
first, then rewire it up in cubase, adding
effects/eq/compression. Then edit it in Peak.

Well, if you go to the fruity site, d/l the demo... it will
have a bunch of example trax for you to play with. That is
how I learnt.

I hate to sound like an asshole about it... but its really
dificult to explain, its easy to show someone, but this is
thru a keyboard. And would benefit you more if you actually
found it out with minor detective work.
