Let's play Nomic

The first rule to be changed is that nobodody will be
allowed to play it.

you cannot agree as wmw was the only player at the time the
voting for this rule started.

lol, we could actually play maybe, though without rolling
dice and stuff. sirlin.net:

"I invented a game similar to Nomic, but instead of voting,
the game simply began with a couple of rules that are
required to make sure everyone understands (things like
rules must be in English, written legibly, etc. [those were
immutable, for hte most part]), but then they simply write a
rule. It can be anything from “All rules must begin with a
vowel” to “No rule can be self-consistent”. Players
take turns writing rules. If a player cannot come up with a
rule, they forfeit, and play continues. The winner is the
last man left in the game."

The main things we'd have to decide before we started
playing would be how new rules got added (all of them, or a
vote or something) and which started out immutable/mutable.
Keeping track of points would be a pain though- as well as
playing in order or keeping track of how many players there
are/who's winning etc. Plus I have to go to sleep.

it's much more fun if you combine nomic with cards. we
played that a lot lately.

when someone won the round, he could choose a rule. if
someone broke it, he had to take a card.

rules where different. from normal card-related things like
- you can only put queens on kings etc. to physical ones
like running around the table when you play an ace.
