what thing/smell/sight/sound/feeling reminds you of times
gone by, maybe as a kid, or times when you felt happier...

for me, it's holograms

they're something i was fascinated by as a kid, and still do
have a fascination with. they're just great to look at, and
i would stare at them for hours upon hours.

Whoa! Mega nostalgia rush. Do you remember the little
hologram stickers you got in packets of jawbreakers? With a
lttle jawbreaker guy on skis or dressed up as the devil or
something. I find these corny little things way more
emotionally affecting than some boring shit like say,
nature.

music mainly, especially the beatles' abbey road, vivaldi's
four seasons (can't listen to it at all though, rubs me the
wrong way while simultaneously evoking pleasant childhood
memories), stinger bars, the sight of where i grew up in
wicklow.. i love the trip i get off that stuff though,
nostalgia is incredible.

autumn makes me really nostalgic. when the leaves start
changing color and it starts getting dark early and cold and
rainy. reminds me of being a kid, anxiously awaiting
halloween and muddy camp trips and powerslides on my
skateboard in the rain.

Everything, I'm a pack rat and I make damn sure the
aforementioned everything stays in my life forever.

But I have to name some obscure thing... so I'll say Sports
Forecasters. They're time capsules and it's fun to read old
back issues and see how accurate they were in predicting a
particular player's production and career arc.
