i had a day ticket and went to v-fest yesterday. radiohead
played at about 9pm just as the sun had gone down. i was
really blown away by the performance. in my opinion, 2 hours
of pure bliss. they played all the classics (pyramid song,
karma police, no surprises, and idioteque / everything in
its right place remixes). everything went perfectly and it
was a flawless performance. there was new stuff which
sounded really amazing, like really intense odd almost
autechre-esque beats and ultra heavy basslines. quite
possibly the best live performance i have ever seen.

anyone else go?

i was wacthin v-fest highlights on tele, an interview with
that prick serg from kasabian sayin he would not have
worried if they were performing at same time as radiohead,
saying and i quote "people want to get down and party not
listen to some clicks"

fuckin hate kasabian, hard fi, ordinary boys, generally most
british guitar bands out just now

I don't see how twin you can be if you are that head.
Unless you have a twin and suck his head.

i saw some highlights from the radiohead set on E4,
including national anthem, the bends, and creep.

i have to say i thought it was awful - it seemed like thom
yorke was purposefully sabotaging the whole affair, and did
so with ease. thom yorke's poor frontman performance was
only beaten by the fool from hard-fi, who later had the
nerve to refuse a reenactment his performance in an
interview with 'i'm a professional, i only do it if i'm
being paid'.

Indeed, it will be a sorry state of affairs when there is no
Radiohead to make up for all the shite British guitar rock
doing the rounds by pimply loud-mouth pricks.

Here's the V Fest setlist. not as many new songs as I'd
have liked.

Setlist:

01 Airbag
02 2+2=5
03 The National Anthem
04 My Iron Lung
05 Morning Bell
06 Fake Plastic Trees
07 The Bends
08 Videotape*
09 Nude*
10 The Gloaming
11 Paranoid Android
12 All I Need*
13 Pyramid Song
14 Lucky
15 Just
16 Idioteque
17 Street Spirit

Encore 1:
18 You And Whose Army?
19 Karma Police

Encore 2:
20 Everything In Its Right Place
21 Creep

* = new

I reckon 15 Step is the best new song, which is in a funny
time signature, like 6/8 or something but you can dance to
it. Do a 15 Step search on youtube.
