uncool.

His lyrics are reallllllllly shit. And he looks and sounds
like such a tosser, trying to be cool. It looks like he's
really uncomfortable singing and acting in that way

Yes, you can see he thinks he practically drips
charisma and charm, when in actuality, other people see it
more just as exceptionally smug. You can tell that when he
starts getting on a bit he's going to be one of these
annoying old codgers who think they're still 21, will be
flirting with girls 1/3 of his age and everyone else will
just find him embarrasing.

Shameful Fact:

I have seen him live and I even stood down the front for
it.

Excuse:

It was at a festival and Ash were on next and we wanted to
get down the front whilst the crowd comprised of 12 year old
girls who would be easier to push out of the way than Ash
fans.

Look it is pop music of course it is shit.
It is like enjoying a flithy kebab after 10 pints.
Hi Art, low art who cares. Are you feeling guilty?
You are not a real AFX fan listening to Chosen Lords on
Repeat all day.
Real fans listen to classics on repeat with volume on full
wack.
Grow Up.

Sorry, haven't got Chosen Lords yet; Looks like I'd best
stick to Classics...

Nothing wrong with pop music. In fact, I'm listening to more
pop (well, stuff on the radio) music than IDM at the moment.
I even buy the odd pop record. It's just that I don't think
Robbie Williams is either a very good pop musician or
particularly charasmatic (unless you're a 30 year old woman
frantically trying to hold onto her youth by lusting after
ex-Take That members).

alternative. Pop is shit, now.

he doesnt exactly set the track alight with his vocals but I
think its a fun dance tune, got a pleasant electro dance
sound, sounds a bit different than other stuff in the
charts. i think its naive to assume hes smug, i mean he is
really very popular and people just couple that with the
fact that he dances in his pants on TV and assume he thinks
hes better than you

hes better than Ash anyway

said it could only go downhill when he broke with that
writer and he'd have to do his own writing now. just after
he signed big with sony too
that and because i like him on my mtv makes the
haters dumb

Breaking a pool queue over his knee and then pointing it at
someone (who incidentally, was a much bigger musical star
than him at the time), whilst shouting "show me some
respect!" because they didn't want to talk to him, would
suggest that he thinks he's pretty special.

Also, just look at the man's face. He's a twat.

The only "good bit" is the bit that reminds me to dig out
Sly and Robbie's "Boops". Is this like a showbiz The
Streets? Which is absurd. Pop Music should be absurd, but
this is just weird.

There was a good article I read, about how commercial
entertainment nowadays is bland and mediocre because it has
to appeal to a large audience without being too eccentric or
alien. So, whilst the idea of a band as boring and
milktoast as Coldplay might offend you, the actual music is
tolerable. We don't have total crap or pure gold, just the
grey middle ground.
The conclusion being that a society capable of creating the
shockingly bad must also have the balls to produce the
suprisingly good.
So anyway....if we can have something as terrible as
"Rudebox" (I honestly can't even watch the video I'm
cringing too hard) we must be able to dare to produce great
works of art at the other end of the spectrum.
