I used to hate Venetian Snares, but I must say I'm coming around to his stuff a lot... Dolls Dolls Dolls is great, and the new little snippets from his upcoming album are MUCH better than his earlier stuff.

Its all pretty different. THe only thing that remains more or less constant thruought most of their catalogue is the heavy use of DSP.
Hellfish, Dj Producer and Venetian Snares make IDM/Gabber, and Venetian Snares bridges it almost to the point of avante garde jazz and classical music. Bit_meddler wrote the Jenie in a Bottle and SHitmix2000 smashups of pop music, plus some other totally original work. Joseph nothing makes more 'normal' IDM, but its totally class. Leafcutter john is kinda about as far into microsound as you can get, and can drive you pleasantly deranged upon fist listen (he used to be a prolific folk singer for chrisake!!! if you say that ain't cool, then I will call you a dude and tell you to get off the ranch).
Best to go to www.planet-mu.com and listen to some of the samples they have set up for everything
