Anyone ever been in a garage band? I was just forced to sit down with members of my family to hear a demo my cousin made with his garage band... I had to try not to giggle, and other times, not to vomit... these guys are fucking awful. Even MY music makes theirs look bad...
All the garage bands I've heard are always so generic and boring... it just hurts my head. They don't even SOUND like they're trying to explore new territory musically, just rehash Creed and Papa Roach and Pearl Jam or whoever...

I was in a 'garage band' about 8 years ago. I think we were pretty good. We had a 'Godspeed You Black Emporer' meets 'rage against the machine' sound. I wish I still had our tapes. ahhh...good times, good times : )
p.s. - we never forced anyone to listen to us either.

You're very welcome, I just felt I had to share this with the world, it was such a profound experience. Squatting Dog is such an awful band. :-)

I just got the samples from Fruity Loops... I know I suck, don't mince words, I'm awful. :-) I'm still learning, those tracks were made within two days of getting FLoops, so don't think that's the best I can do! I HOPE not, anyway...
Anyway, the samples are from Fruityloops, I don't use anything other than what's bundled with it.

I think it's Fruity Loops 3. Jesus christ, I'm not even sure what version it is. 3, or 3 point something.

I was in a Garage band... sounded a lot like.. grunge rock stuff.. then I got into a hardcore band.... metal meets punk right? We got pretty popular around the city played tons of shows, put on a few, promotions, demos stuff like that... live video and all that crap. it was great. but im not into that anymore.....
make my own great music.. and no one hears!
