people are making a 1 second film and you can buy a
producer credit by donating at least $1 - money goes to
charridy, ofcourse.

be an (associate) producer next to such illustrious names as
Stephen Colbert, Steve Coogan, Christina Ricci, Spike Jonze,
Charlie Kaufman. and Samuel L. Jackson's daughter,
ofcourse.

"The 1 Second Film is a non-profit collaborative
animation project that brings together thousands of people
around the world as supporters in the hopes to raise money
for the Global Fund for Women. The film has over 5,000
producers and counting.

The title derives from the fact that the actual content of
the film is just one-second long; animation consisting of 12
large frames (9 ft x 5 ft collaborative paintings). The
frames were painted by hundreds of people during a
multi-disciplinary event on March 8th, 2001 (International
Women's Day). Each of the 12 frames gets filmed twice (on 65
mm film) to create the 24 frames in one-second of film. The
one-second of animation is immediately followed by
90-minutes of credits that include a feature-length 'making
of' documentary.

The film is being financed entirely by donations. Virtually
any individual in the world can purchase a production credit
on the film for a minimum of $1.00 (with no maximum).
Depending on the amount of money donated the contributor is
given credit either as Associate Producer ($1-9.99),
Producer ($10-99.99), or Executive Producer ($100 and up).
IMDb is listing all of THE 1 SECOND FILM's credits, a major
draw for aspiring actors, directors, or producers."

especially the last bit is quite fun, seeing how long the
cast page on IMdb is loading at the moment - clickthing

anyways - it's silly, it's a new form of 'vanity
publishing', it's a bit of fun, who doesn't like women and
global funds, perhaps some of you will join me in being a
Film Producer.
