I think it's the "complain about everything" and zionist kind of jews that ruins the image of the normal jews. Mel Gibson probably had so much jews acting like they are the victims in his movie and complaining about it, that he finally had enough and said some stupid things while being drunk

as far as i know it's part of his particular religion as well, in the vain some dickhole christians being antisemitic as well because the jews hung christ (forgetting christ was a jew etc.)
this is all irrelevant because he was just drunk, and cool i can see the stupid wiki discussions already about this being a 'source' on how antisemitic he is

being anti semetic isn't a hard scientific fact, it can get worse or less. yes it's always bad but people have bad habits in them, be glad they show it once in a while

His Holocaust-denier dad probably ingrained some stupid ideas in his head when he was younger, hard to shake stuff like that.
I just... I want to defend Mel... he's so handsome.

In my opinion a holocaust revisionist is something different than a holocaust denier. From what I've read his father is a revisionist and not a denier.
And the fact that you can be arrested for questioning history makes it highly suspicious for me. No wonder no one dares to investigate further on alternative theories on this part of history...

I know, it was a bit of a side subject. I mainly had Gerald Fredrick Töben in mind who was put in jail for stating that the holocaust was smaller than mainstream scientists believe.

as long as people condemn mass murder on whatever scale they should be able to voice their opinion, I think. even if they may be totally wrong about it.

agreed, if you want freedom of speech you have to be willing to stomach the bad with the good.
it's easy to forget that it's really the ideas that need to be challenged, not the individuals.
as long as there's an interest in manipulating people, there will be a scapegoat. conflict is the best way to motivate a group of people, a shared perception of a threat.

The holocaust has been extensively documented. It's like saying to the family of a murder victim that's been stabbed to death in front of them that it didn't happen.
Shit...I sound like a wet liberal, I better get back to some hardcore gay-bashing.
