Nick Cave fans?

It's my sister's birthday soon, and I'd like to get her
some Nick Cave stuff - rare or in-the-shops - to celebrate
the occasion, as she's an avid fan and has always been good
to me.

Any suggestions?

Step 1: Find out what she's already got.
Step 2 (optional): Let us know and ask us to recommend
something else.
Step 3: Buy something not discovered in step 1, and possibly
named in step 2.

i'm looking for the more unusual stuff. she has an awful
lot. i can't just ask her, like, it'd be very obvious,
because she'd end up listing stuff for a minute or two

unusual as in hard-to-find/get.. not unusual as in atonal
madness

Sneak a look and see what she's missing (check a discog to
compare). There's likely to be something missing. That
elusive release she's "never got round to getting".
Alternatively scour torrent sites for decent bootlegs and
make your own home made gift!

If you find one called the boatman's call demos, don't
bother with it. it's a bit poo.

I suppose she's got his books, either his novel "And the ass
saw the angel" which is very nice, or there's the collected
lyrics "King Ink" erm I and II. But tricky, if she's a fan,
she most probably has them.

I saw Nick Cave once, walking up.. what's the name of the
road with the market in Notting Hill, my fucking brain has
gone, and he was wearing a bright pink .. oh what's the name
of those classic v-neck jumpers, a bit like something a
golfer would wear... aaaggghhh PRINGLE SWEATER. So yeah,
take that Goths. Maybe you could give her that annecdote as
a gift?

Didn't Blixa play in The Bad Seeds? This is a good excuse to
give her Silence Is Sexy for example.

ha! I certainly will. It'll be delivered in a birthday card,
no less..

I think she might have a book by him, but maybe not.
And that would be novel (if you excuse the pun) present
since i'm always getting the family gifts of music.

The first Birthday Party/Boys Next Door album is by far my
favorite Cave joint, so manic. And since it's her
birthday... boo-ya.

there's also a cd with him reading from "And the ass saw the
angel" - I think that came out last year.
