hanal, have you tried your hand at making a font? sorry if this has been asked before. And of course yeah it's not really in line with how you draw, since the same letter always look different, but.. just wondering |

There's a few tutorials out there, it looks tricky though. I think you'll need adobe photoshop + illustrator and a few other progs and a scanner. Do it man. There's nowt finer than graff fonts! and there's a serious lack of decent ones.... |

which I've heard is decent. note that making fonts is a total painfuck, you have to deal with kerning and other nasty details that are impossible to get right but make the font look like shit if you don't take the time. you just have to obsess in general. just a suggestion, might be fun. |

honestly they look better than I expected. I guess to explain it most exactly, the problem is you can't lend each letter too much individual character, because it will then look silly when it repeats (imagine a very fancy, unique 'a', and then how the word 'alabama' would look!). so yeah, this hamstrings that sort of approach to fonts. truuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuue |

true. is about the best/famous of that set, reason being the letters flow well together and appears to lack the ever-consistent static inherent in fonts. |
