i wrote some gabba this afternoon. i didnt finish it, i'll save it for a rainy day, and yes the lead synth is far too loud |

I like it but the Amen Break there seems a little too stuttery for that and borken up, like there's so much of gaps in the pattern. |

gabbas not my thing so i cant give you too much praise. sounds a bit bland though and i agree with jams about the amen break. really sticks out. |

it's nowhere near fast enough but it still makes me want to smack someone square in the face so it gets a half a thumb up 8-bit melody v cheesy though |

im not so sure i like it, the kick drum is a bit limp, and yes the lead synth is far too loud... it sounds too slow at the start and too fast after the drop, im not sure how you managed that |

Id like to try one day. Its really hard though, it requires a lot of sound design and subtlety. I hate a lot more gabba than I like, and half the time I cant even listen to the stuff I like |

i say kill the melody at :54, it doesn't belong there at all. you need something heavier and dirtier, though i like the idea of using a melodic motif there. i liked it a lot more than i thought i would. i think it's a promising demo. maybe emulates certain afx vibes a bit too much, but the ambient atmosphere works well. sure it's not really gabber, but then again gabber is boring. i give it a solid 4.12 cloacas on the cloacameter. |
