Do you mean the early stuff?, yeah that WAS crap!

Magical myster tour thru to abbey road was OK though.

And they did use some very pioneering techniches with sound
and recording, considering the crap equipment they had
then.

And yes, Ophecks will be well annoyed with you and kick yer
arse for this!...

C'mon Opheks defend thier honour. Paul McCartney was, is and
always be a talentless fucker. Ditto George and Ringo.
Ringo's career highlight was naratting Thomas the Tank
Engine.

John Lennon was the only one who deserved any respect for
giving money to the Worker's Revolutionary Party.

thats a bad shout jonesy, like most bands, its the
collective that produces the sounds. Without Paul, Ringo and
George, Lennon would be nothing.

PHIZ, of course lennon would have been more than nothing.
his talent was such that he surpassed any group.

I LOVE the Beatles....especially thier early stuff....but
ALL of their stuff is excellent...

The Beatles remind me of my childhood and my when my parents
were still together and happy...
It reminds me of summers camping as a child and winters
skiing....

The Beatles will ALWAYS rule!!!!

Jonesy: Don't be so lame, you just want to piss off Ophecks
because you disagree on previous topics. Besides we just
recently had an identical topic("I wish the Beatles died")

maybe nothings a bit harsh, but the magic that happened
between them as a unit must surely surpass Lennons solo
work.

Lenin was definitely better on his own. Have you not read
State and Revolution? Tsk, tsk.

no it doesnt' -=- his solo work is equal and quite often
better than the beatles. his later stuff with the beatles
are the nearest in quality to his solo stuff - and they
barely spoke after '66

I don't know how someone who likes aphex twin and
squarepusher could possibly like the beatles! I can't stand
their blend of pop, rock, crap, shite. I'm glad most of
them are dead.

Phiz, you're right there, even tho the others were a bit
dull, Lennon was far better IN the Beatles then solo. Left
on his own he bacame horribly self undulgent and artsy
fartsy...

Number 9, Number 9, Number 9

"I don't know how someone who likes aphex twin and

variety is the spice of life sunshine.

Laserbreak: I'm not that petty. I didn't know Ophecks liked
the Beatles. I thought most people did anyway. I just hate
the way they're deified. There are so many unsung
contributors to modern music and that pisses me off.

Fuck the Beatles and the Frog Chorus!!!

did he fuck. maybe you are just so straight that anything
slightly experimental and unusual is classified "ARTSY
FARTSY" and slammed.

JAYPHEX - why is it unreasonable to like different styles of
music?

listen to Darkthrone.

It's just that the beatles are sooooo far away from what I
listen to. It's not unreasonable to like other kinds of
music, but you would think that all the kinds of music you
like would be related in some way.

The only thing I like is Working Class Hero. Oh and Instant
Karma. I feel sorry that Lennon had to be in a band with
Paul McCartney - the prick.

Lennon in reality was also far from the revolutionary
character that he invented for the media.
In reality he was extremely conservative, narrow minded and
old fashioned.
When interviewed in L.A. he did nothing but bang on about
old BBC radio comedy shows and cup of tea.
A very straight guy who was constantly scared and
paranoid...

why does drinking tea and enjoying comedy shows from the
1950s make you conservative and narrow-minded? surely you
could pick a better example?

Uh oh, I wasn't HERE to defend their honor, I was rotting
away in my college. I am so tired and annoyed, I just can't
defend them right now, I've done it SOOOO many times on this
board. So I'll drag up the LAST fucking time someone dissed
them to piss off Nu's biggest Beatlemaniac. :-)
