yes the machinedrum is awesome

i really wanna get the UserWave upgrade for my machinedrum,
but i read somewhere that Elektron are going to be
discontinuing the upgrades pretty soon :(

i just hope that when they have some more available that i
will have the money to get mine upgraded

I just heard the other day that they are not going to be
selling any more upgrades unfortunately.

I have set my sights on a monomachine. I really hope I can
afford to get one soon, but at this rate, it will be another
year before I can afford it. Unless I manage to quit
smoking.

Yes, that does sound very nice (SID, FM, Vox, etc.) but I
only need another drum machine at the moment....

I don't need the UserWave thing.

You can parameter lock the sample features. Imagine being
able to automate the start and end time of a sample withing
each sequence.

Its simplicity is its downfall

Found one at Big City Music that I guess I could get for
about £600.

I figured out I might be able to buy one by January next
year.

I guess this thing completely kills the Korg ER-1? I'm just
thinking I might sell the ER-1 if the MD can do exactly
everything the ER can do (which is gonna be 99% yes). Then
again, I might keep the ER-1 for a sequencer.

i've been thinking about getting one of these baddies for a
livePA. Too scared to take the 909 out of the studio...
the machine drum would be a nice compliment instead.

gear and beer are a delicate mix.... one spill and it's
chaos

MD > 909 imo......

i had one for a week there and it is very good but it's very
very untilted. I'm trying to justify the sampling option if
i was going to buy one...
