Comes out of disco and funk.

Bad dance music comes out of that whole John Bonham big rock
realistic sounding drums thing. (Drum 'n' bass, Breaks, trip
hop, etc)

It should have a bit of bounce to it, definately. That's why
trance sucks, 'cause it's just chuggachuggachuggachugga...
Even good floor to the floor tracks have that little swing
to them, 2 step played on that feeling to great effect.

I like when you mix the two.

Yes, a mixture of disco and funk is always appealing.

I'm listening to 187 Lockdown's "Gunman"
and Armand Van Helden's remix of "Spin. Spin, Sugar."

Armand Van Helden is great and superior to all the other
big, cheeseball dance producers because he is the master of
the bounce and never went Trance.

Shows how much you know. He started off in New York's house
underground and redefined commercial dance music.
He's always been a couple of years ahead of the game, he's a
leader not a follower.

Yeah, but when it turned into all that "intelligent drum 'n'
bass" crap it went rubbish. Loads of it nowadays sounds
really aggressive and over the top.

yeah i can agree with that, but the same thing happened to
house in trance so get out of that one
