It's streaming on the web......... Piers Sellars is about to
jump on-board the station arm (canada arm 2) and ride it up
to one of the ISS truss sections....... this stuff is cool!
:)

Man I'd love to watch this but I'm getting about... 3 frames
per minute. How I envy astronauts.

Did they ever find out what that was that was that fell off
the shuttle when it launched the other day?

I think it was just a little bit of foam insulation from the
external tank....... and maybe a pieceoftile aswell.......
nothing they seem too worried about...... stay with the
stream if you can, cause they have been changing the format
over time..... they were using a still camera to capture
shots, now they have gone back to video.......

Is anyone getting the footage at the moment?!?!?! The guy
is standing on the end of the station arm, with the earth
rotating above him, as he tests the stability of the arm....
INSANE!!!!

I don't envy astronauts that die when their heat-shields
fail on re-entry so it's cool that it doesn't look serious.

And thanks for the heads up, they did indeed switch to video
and it's pretty breathtaking. Holy shit. This guy is in
space.

yeah, the view this guy has at the moment would be
mind-blowing...

and burning up on re-entry would suck ass.......

OK, NASA tv is streaming online again, with Shuttle Mission
STS-115 on orbit. Not a lot going on at the moment, but
there are three EVA's planned,on flight days 4, 5 and 7 of
the 11 day mission, and these should produce some amazing
footage.......

So, geeks of the world, keeping checking in!

ok, the first EVA is about to start..... should last a good
few hours....... again, images right now are dull, but
things should improve with time.

they are attaching the P3/P4 truss, which looks like a big
fuck-off scaffold with solar arrays attached......
