Save all your kisses for me-Manfred Mann
Happy Happy Joy Joy-Ren and Stimpy

streamer on 2001-06-05 09:53 [#00008298]

"It's Raining Men" - Geri Haliwell version. The fact that
some record company has given her a deal and actually
APPROVED this song for release, I find one of the scariest
things in the world.

Glitch from New Zealand on 2001-06-05 10:37 [#00008302]

Manson is a dick, and his songs arent scary, real scary
music comes from bands like Coil, and great Norwegain bands
like Bogus Blimp and When, When in particular scares the
pants, underwear and socks right off ya, without even
trying, damn good.

SWAI from Denmark on 2001-06-05 10:51 [#00008304]

I´d have to go with the Happy happy, joy joy too. Did you
see the episode where theres some fairy collecting the
nerval threads of your teeth, and stimpy pulls them out with
plyers, and then the fairy gives him som dirt or something?
it was cool

Arch Rival from NY on 2001-06-05 11:04 [#00008306]

Some tracks from SAW 2 is scary as fuck!

ICCT Hedral is pretty spooky...

od from perth on 2001-06-05 14:46 [#00008316]

hey what about that track on the quake soundtrack that has
breathing in the background?
i wrote a story listening to that soundtrack aobut a bloke
who blows up an office building and goes to hell, in the
shape of an old dank house where he is pinned and stapled
and bolted to the wall surrounded by people who have gone
mad. he is never fed but he lives in a constant state of
starvation. and he wakes up drugged badly every so often in
a different area of the house. sounds shit. but its god in
my head :)

anything by BETHLEHEM- 'dictius te necare' lp to be exact.
it will blow anything youve mentioned out of the water.

its responsible for 5suicides and 3murders!

M from Fraggle Rock on 2001-06-05 18:06 [#00008347]

Oh yeah, I definately would have added happy happy joy joy.
That episode was a great satire of how modern life really
is, especially if you work for some evil corporation like
vons or ralphs or something. They practically have a happy
helmet on your head. "Hi, how are you doing today (smiling)
Would you like help out to your car with that (smiling)
Thanks. Have a nice day (smiling/twitching)" (repeat,
repeat, repeat, repeat.) Also, the smurf theme song. "Faa
la, la la la la, Faa, la la la la!"

I know that maralyn manson has a bit of cheese about his
style, talking in squeeky high pitch voices etc. But I still
think reflecting god is the scarriest song I've heard yet.
If this guy was given more power, he'd be far worse than
hitler.

Can you suggest albums from Coil, Bogus Blimp, and When?
I've been investigating coil for some time, but you can't
seem to find any sound samples for them on the internet. In
a search for When at cdnow, people who bought this album
also bought Bob Dylan and Mozart?! I'll have to check out
bethlehem too, but again, no samples seem to be anywhere.

try the redstream records website. thats where i heard them
first.

Glitch from New Zealand on 2001-06-05 19:25 [#00008350]

well one of my Favourite Coil albums is Horse Rotor Vator
and another is Scatology, they are pretty much the most
popular Coil albums out and they are quite old, but really
bloody good, if you can get either of these albums, they may
take a while to swollow, but when they do, goddamn, fucking
amazing

When and Bogus Blimp are pretty obscure really, the best
place to hear and find out stuff about them is at their
record labels webpage, which is

www.jester-records.com

I hope you have a good listen to the bands I mentioned,
because these are bands that can change you life, it did
mine, Im definately all the more happy for it :)

The scarriest song i have ever heard is the track called
"slaiphn" by Pehaex T.iq.n. It´s on an old tape that i
found in my wardrobe. I really don´t know who Pehaex T.iq.n
is, but it gave me nightmares.

hey od: i used to listen to the quake soundtrack a lot. with
the volume all the way up. yeah that breathing-track is
scary as hell!! it used to give me the creeps when i was
playing the game, wandering through the halls half dead,
paranoid as hell. great fun. i always imagined it's tigers
or lions that do the breathing.

man, trent reznor! tssk..

hevquip from a foxes wooden leg on 2001-06-05 22:04 [#00008370]

mr. clocke: the name of that artist seems like it is aphex
twin jumbled up a bit...

pehaex t.iq.n. - e,q = pehax t.i.n.
pehax tin = aphex tin
aphex tin + (w) = aphex twin

QohPh from in yo mawma on 2001-06-05 22:35 [#00008372]

I would nominate Kymera by Mike Dred and Peter Green. It
might be the fact that i was on crack at the time, but some
parts of that song are just wicked spooky

TekN010G from Australia on 2001-06-05 23:36 [#00008382]

Springymajig from New Zealand (www.mp3.com/aureus) on 2001-06-06 06:42 [#00008410]

Melve (that noise in the bacground gave me a fright first
time I heard it), UnderBOAC and Second Bad Vilbel (the
mechanical shreik particularly) by Autechre are scary.

Climbing up the Walls by Radiohead is a bit scary. That song
is awesome.

aphyd on 2001-06-06 07:46 [#00008422]

yeah the first time i saw the 'second bad vibel' video i was
tripping pretty hard and it scared the living piss outta me

AB3 track 11 is pretty spooky, also that weekday song by
craig david...

"heard craig david on monday, heard him again on tuesday,
went to cd shop on wednesday, and on thursday and friday and
saturday smashed up all his cds, chill on sunday (with
AFX)"

hahahaha
