Drugs certainly don't make you cool! It's your personality and how you behave onto others that makes you cool or uncool. Many people confuse arrogance and sarcasm with coolness when it in fact is the opposite. Coolness only exists in relation to other people. Drinking and taking drugs with a group of people might make you feel cool because you share a similar experience. Be the only one to drink and take drugs within a given group of people and you will certainly NOT be or feel cool: At work, for instance... Coolness is your ability to share experiences and to connect with other people. I guess drugs can help some people to do that and that is certainly a good thing, but it is not in itself a key factor of coolness. Me, I like a drink (usually beer and an occasional Fernet Branca) and a jazz-cigarette every now and then. I'm usually alone when I enjoy these simple pleasures and I feel relaxed and open to focus only on the music I listen to at the same time. There is no coolness involved because there is no other people around. |

if a friendly pharmaceutical company went to the trouble to press their wares into a user friendly tablet i think it would be rude (if not explicitly cool) to say no. for sure, a nice pharmaceutical grade dextroamphetamine will make you cool, but afterwords it actually depletes your cool so everything evens out. caffeine might enhance your cool, if you're wearing the right kind of pants. unfortunately i take my caffeine from a thermos, very uncool. in summary, both cool and uncool people take drugs, etc etc etc. |
