Today I brought my Les Paul down from the attic. For the
past year I've only been playing my acoustic every now and
then and without a decent mic, recording anything with
guitar was pretty shit. Having my electric back has been so
nice. It means I can do more guitar based songs now which is
far more comfortable than pretending to be competant at
anything other than a four chord ditty! Guitar is where I am
comfortable! Its bland its cliched its unoriginal but damn I
missed it. Here's a little ditty I started today. its only a short
one but please enjoy :D

i wholly agree with you that actually playing guitar again
feels great after playing with a computer for ages.

like you said, its cliched, but its damn enjoyable. i hate
to draw the comparison, but its deffinately got a tch feel
to it. i liked when you threw in the break at the end, it
was unexpected and worked quite well.

i was just saying, nowadays you cant hear guitar + beats and
not think that.

a few months ago i got back into playing guitar with a 4
track cassette recorder. best change in approach to music i
could have ever hoped for.

When i was about 16 i would spend every night sat in the
basement with my guitar and a four trck, I ahve reams of
tapes with old tracks and the stuff i wrote then is the best
stuff i've ever written. I need to get a shitty old 4 track
and throw my computer out the window! hehe

try combining the two, its even more fun!

or throw them both out of a window and record it. instant
grammy!

I shouldn't be one to say anything against this, because I
am guilty of it myself, but the drums sound a bit dry or
basic, at least until about 1:17.

But it's nice. I have it on loop. Very peacful right now. I
may sleep to it tonight.

Who cares if its cliche. If you feel comfortable doing
something, do it. Don't hold back. That will reflect in your
music.
